A light pen or scanner, which hooks into a wedge, goes in through the same input port as your keyboard. It works the same as if you typed it. If you are talking about a handheld unit, then you will need to upload the handheld data into your data base. (There are RF/wireless options too.)
We like the wedge option because we can validate the input and prompt the user in realtime. Dennis ***** At 12:15 PM 9/19/02 -0500, you wrote: > Hello everyone! The recent balance/scale interface conversation got me to thinking that what I would like to do is scan information from printed invoices (or handwritten in some cases) directly into my RBase form fields, both to save on input time and accuracy. Can anyone using pen scanners for that purpose give me some feedback? Thank you.
