Kyle, I'm not sure if you intend to sum the entirety of both columns in the table... if it _could_ be done as a computed column then every row would have the same value for that field.
or if you just wanted to have a total at hand: Create view CraftTots (SumTheWholeSheBang) as + sel sum(Craft) from labTest union sel sum(Craft) from maTest then when you need the total: Sel sum(SumTheWholeSheBang) from CraftTots It could be argued that Craft should only exist in one table with an ID column to reference source/parent rows in other tables... but that's not always practical.
