set var lkey = (lastkey(0))
if lkey = '[Esc]'  then
   do whatever
endif
return

SET ESCAPE OFF has no effect on disabling the [Esc] while in a form.
 
From my understanding, it prevents program files from being interrupted
during processing.
 
Thanks for the idea though...  I had forgotten about that SET keyword.
