I don't think you're doing anything wrong - it just won't work. I went
through this same drill when attempting to create an invoice in 6.5++ to a
PDF. My problem was that, to control the formatting the way I desired, I
needed 4 different reports - one if a single page invoice, one for the
first page of a multiple-page invoice, one for the last page of a
multiple-page invoice, and one for intermediate pages. I wanted to be able to:
OUTPUT pdffile
PRINT firstpage
PRINT intermediatepages
PRINT lastpage
OUTPUT screen
I gave up in favor of waiting for 7.0, which, I am pleased to report, does
the trick with one report with all the bells and whistles I imagined,
including a watermark.
