G'day Steve, I allow the user to use the | pipe character.
SET VAR vScreenMsg TEXT = (SRPL(.vScreenMsg,'|',(CHAR(13) + CHAR(10)),0)) is how I replace the pipe character for a form display and SET VAR vNameAddressBlok TEXT = (SRPL(.vNAB,'|',(CHAR(10)),0)) is for a report. At 10:33 17/10/02 +0100, you wrote:

I can use SRPL at print time to have the address PRINT correctly, replacing the semi-colon with CHAR(10). This however shows as a block character when the data is displayed in a form on-screen.
