A level of effort question. For those of you who have converted your application(s) from RBase 6.x to Rtango/Oterro, could you give us an idea of how it went? A typical RBase app with say 60 forms and 60 reports would need little (no?) data base redesign. But, in addition to forms and reports, there would be a substantial amount of reprogramming/redesign. Did you consider maintaining two products (RBase & Rtango)? I recall someone once said to plan on about an hour per form/report, but the task still seems a bit daunting. The other approach is to interface distributed data bases and leave it in RBase (version 7.0 of course). I already have a transaction based system which provides an automated remote query/update function. Any advice appreciated.
