There is a simple way to convert the 0:00:00 value to "N.A." in a report on
the fly:
Define the variables as  follows:
V_old_time = (CTXT(your_time_col))
V_new_time = (IFEQ(.V_old_time, '0:00:00','N.A.',.V_old_time) )
The variable V_new_time will hold "N.A." if you time column is 0:00:00 if
not if will hold the original time, just display V_new_time in your report
as a TEXT variable. You can use any text characters instead of "N.A." such
as "-" or you can use a blank space(s). IMHO "N.A." or "-" or " "looks
better in a report that "-0-" Also, you can define the default value for the
column as 0:00:00 so you do not need to enter anything if a time is not
available. One caveat, you cannot use 0:00:00 for a valid time as it will
displayed as whatever value you select for the null value... the chances are
1 in 86,400 (seconds in one day)
Good luck,

Javier, David,

I've tried every combination you have suggested. The 00:00 time is
really 12:00 AM, resetting it to NULL resets it to 12:00 AM. Using the
IF timefield = 000 THEN;ALTER TABLE...ALTER fieldname = 'N/A' TEXT seems
to work, so I'm following that thread right now. However, I have to run
to the office and scan for that friendgreeting virus one of my employees
let through this morning even though I forwarded the virus alert...

Claudine

Can you run an UPDATE afterwards to set all 00:00 times to NULL?
