Hi Tom,
I'm having similar problems. Am presently testing on a non-networked PC
with DB in separate directory and Rmerge under C:\RBTI. Have changed
the NAME in rmerge.cfg (C:\WINNT) to match the name I use to log on to
Rbase. After opening DB cannot see any other table but the one which is
setup as PUBLIC... And then, I can't do anything with it... Obviously,
there are more settings to tweak. Help files don't even mention the
.cfg file. Help anyone?
~Claudine :)

Subject: R:Merge

Hi all...

Just purchased and am trying to set up R:Merge. We put the software on a
workstation, and store our data in a mapped drive on the server. I am
having a strange interaction between the two.

I can connect to the database with no problem, but am unable to create a
template. I go through the motions and after clicking ok I am returned
to a blank white template manager.

When trying the same procedure from a back up copy stored on my PC... I
am able to connect and create no problem. AND most curious to me is
that if I transfer the sample datafile to the same location on the
server, that datafile allows me to create and use templates....

Have tried to:
start in the data file on the server;
reinstall;
install in the data file on the server; and,
navigating to the data;

with no success... is there anyone out there that has had similar
experience? or know what it might be that is mismatched? I checked using
R:> show any differences in the two databases and have still no answer.

any information or answers would be appreciated

Tom
