I second that It would be great with a book like that for Windows, even
if I still prefer DOS from my Dinosaurian brain I know I am lost (or
dead like the dinosaurs) if I don't go for 7.0 windows

That would be her. Excellent book that got me out of trouble many times,
it
was the first time that I run into a good outline of the system tables,
and
it made things a lot easier, way back when DOS was king...
It would be great to get a similar book updated for the Windows
environment.
I have no idea what happened to her, maybe Razzak can chime in?

The author is Anne Gillihan. Is she still around. I used to talk to
her
on Microrims support line, in the early days.
