I have been trying using declare cursor since 3.0 I believe (or was it 4.0= anyway my memory is as bad as 3.0 was the worst version of R:Base  ever released) I will take your world for it and give it an other trie. In a day or 2 I will write a program declaring cursor and not use exi but is not not null and not using fails but is null. The problem is that that problem stays.

After you get used to declare cursor you will like it MUCH better than set pointer. Only took me a year to remember the syntax, but after you use it., it works WONDERFULLY well <g>
