Alastair,

I ran the following in R:Base 2000 v6.5++ build 1.862 and
using the Concomp database:

-- caption.rmd
SET VAR vfCurrNum INTEGER = 295
SET VAR vCaption = ('Current Number:' & (CTXT(.vfCurrNum)) )
EDIT USING employee CAPTION .vCaption

The caption appeared in the very top line next to the R:Base
logo. The caption said: Current Number: 295.

Take care.

Randy Peterson

PS. If you want to show a number which changes as each row
is reviewed, simply put a variable on the form. It is easy
to precede it with text such as
Invoice Number [.vInvoiceNo].
