Old topic, revisited: I need to determine quickly the ease with which I can have an R:Base database on Novell Netware (5.22) server/domain controller "N", and R:Tango 2000 Server/IIS on separate, Win 2000 Server "W" (which also thinks it is a domain controller.). The client wants a DMZ firewall, with no shares on the web server visible to the Netware LAN, nor even the other way if that's possible.
What are the gotchas and tricks to making this work? I think Buddy, Harlan, and Troy have all been successful under a similar system. Please help me with: a) user names/permissions on both servers b) tango service startup "login as" advice c) minimum shares needed? d) ODBC by IP address? UNC name? what's best? what works? Database is, for illustration, at \\n_server\data\rbase\thisapp, also known perhaps as 192.168.1.10 R:Tango server and IIS are installed on \\w_server Thanks.
