Mike and others,
What a tool and what a solution. I was able to reverse engineer from Rbase
=> StarDesigner=> ERWin desktop after I had removed all of the "+" in the
StarDesigner SQL Script. Also from an FYI perspective, ERWin Desktop is no
longer supported and you do not get any credit for it when purchasing.
Quote: Phil, got your message regarding ERwin Desktop. The desktop version
of ERwin is no longer supported by Computer Associates. The version that
will allow you to forward and reverse engineer a database is now called
AllFusion ERwin Data Modeler. It is available for purchase through any
major reseller. If you have a preferred reseller, I can have them send you
a price quote for a new license. If not, I can recommend a reseller to you
and have them send you pricing. Please advise as to how you would like to
proceed? EndQuote.

So StarDesigner provided the middleware to get around this. Thanks.

Thanks Mike.
I downloaded this StarB I installed it successfully. I chose Rbase 4.5
because that is as high as it went. When I chose the database, it came in.
The only question is, how do I generate the script from where I have
imported the structure? I looked at all and did not see an option under
export nor save as.

Phil,

You may be able to use the Free StarDesignor database modeling program
from my Website to create the script and then run the script in ERWin.
www.byerley.net > Bauerlie Development Corp > Software > Download &
upport - then scroll down to the StarD32.zip for regular install or
Star32Copy.ZIP for disk image (copy) for larger harddrives that trip up the
older install program. You can simply unzip the diskimage to a subdirectory
and create a shortcut to the .EXE and it will run ok without "installing".
