Thanks, for the response!

The work around I did was to created a temp table containing the first
select data.
Then I insert the second select into the temp table with the totals
to get the column alignment right with the dashes!
then I do a third select on the temp table for output.

I've not found anything that I couldn't do with Rbase (as long as you have a
little imagination)!

Just wanted someone to check me!

        It works the same way here on 1.862.  My guess is that the FORMAT
function converts the value to TEXT which of course can't be summed.  I ran
into this a long time ago and my work around was to do the original SELECT
without the sums; write the dashed lines; then do another select to get the
sums with the headers turned off.
