I have a report, sorted by a code column (with values 10, 20, 30 etc). Each code can have between 1 and 12 detail lines.
If there is not enough room on the page to print all the detail lines, I would like the report to start a new page. I tried the option "Keep Break Together" for the report break that uses this column. It does not appear to have any effect. I notice an option "New page when less than". By experimentation, this appears to force the section to begin on a new page if less than the specified number of inches (I think) are remain on the page. I could set this to something like 2 inches, which is what my biggest groups take up, but most of the groups have only 1 or 2 lines -- making this look a little odd. Anyone have any suggestion on how to get my break section to begin on the next page if there is not enough room to print all the detail on the current page? -- Larry
