Charlie,

Once executed, the settings will be saved for good, similar
to saved settings for Startup Options, Database Explorer,
R:BASE Editor, R> prompt and Data Browser/Editor, until you
change the settings next time.

Larry,

Currently, R:BASE 7.1 Note/BLOB Field Viewer/Editor
adopts its settings from RBEDIT, especially related
to General, String and Display (Gutter/Line Separator).
The width/word wrap is set to 80 characters regardless
of the actual Note/BLOB Field Viewer/Editor window.

Having said that, it would be really cool to have the
options for Word Wrap ON/OFF dependent on the size of
the displayed R:BASE 7.1 Note/BLOB Field Viewer/Editor
window. If set to ON, word wrap should be dependent on
the width of Note/BLOB Field Viewer/Editor window.

On the top of that, setting the Font, Font Style, Font
Size, Effects (Strikeout, Underline), Font Color as
well as Font Script for Note/BLOB Field Viewer/Editor
would be icing on the cake!

Typical Example:

. CONNECT ConComp
. Database Explorer > Tables > Contact > Open
Double-click on ContInfo to view contact notes
   in Note/BLOB Field Viewer/Editor.
. While in Note/BLOB Field Viewer/Editor:
   - click on "Word Wrap" icon to set Word Wrap" to ON.
   - click on "Change Font..." icon to set Font properties
. Settings should be saved for local user when calling
   Note/BLOB Field Viewer/Editor using double-click
on Note/VARCHAR columns while in Data Browser/Editor
or using double-click on Memo controls in Form.

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak.

P.S.
Did I mention that the scenario described above actually
works on my version of Pre-Release Update 76? 07/13/04.
