I've never had to do this until now and should probably know the answer but can the Default value shown for a column in a table be an _expression_? If so, what is the syntax?
I don't want to set a computed value because I want it to be editable, but to default to a value derived from other columns if possible. For example, I have a Spouse First Name and Spouse Last Name field. Most of the time the Spouse Last Name is the same as the Last name field. Obviously, sometimes it's not, but if I can avoid entering data twice, it would be helpful.
I know that there are other ways to do this, but it seems that this would be the simplest if it works.
