FYI, whenever strings where concatenated and the components
are variables, trailing blanks are always truncated. The
same rule applies when doing expressions and have always
trimmed trailing spaces.

This is the whole reason we have two concatenate operators,
one (+) which does not preserve trailing spaces, and another
(&) which supplies one trailing space.

If you need more that one blank space, you need to use hard
space character values.
