I have run into the same problem where in a form, if the date is null, it shows the current date, personally, I think that if the date is null it should show null or a default value such as "N.A." I believe that we discussed this item before and it is my recollection (I could be wrong) that someone submitted it to RBTI as an enhancement. In my case, on row exit I check to see if the date is NULL, if it is, the user is prompted to enter a date and save the row. Javier,

ONLY if they click on it and change the date manually or by the calendar is the variable set to a date. So the calling program can check for the variable NULL or NOT NULL and build the where clause accordingly. In fact, I actually have a message box on the form warning them that even the date showing is the one they want, they must click on the picker to actually select it. (If you don't, the variable remains NULL)
