David, I did check 1,2 & 3 and everything looked OK but I must have overlooked something. I deleted the field from the report and then put it back on and it worked properly. I have had similar things happen when I converted reports and forms from DOS 4.5++ (via 6.5). I don't convert anymore; I create a new reports or forms instead. I tried to recreate the problem but I haven't been able to do so. It's probably something that I entered wrong during one of my "all-nighters".
