Adding a table to a form allows you to update more than one table on the
same form (like Invoice Headers and Invoice Details) - it is not for doing
lookups.

Tables link by same-named columns with matching data.

If you want a lookup, assign the dbEdit to the field in the form table, then
on the Object Properties, choose the Pop-Up Menus tab and create the lookup
to the second table for the pop-up.

If this doesn't answer your question, post it again with details of what you
are trying to accomplish.
