Thanks Albert I didn't know that.

If I try just granting select to Sys_layouts3 I get the
same errors but if I do Grant Select...to public at the R> I
do not get any errors.

When I look at the rights for the sys tables for Public all of the
Select values and all other values are set to N.

Is that correct or should I set Select to Y for all sys tables?
