[RBG7-L] - SUM OF... problem in reports

I have a report that I cannot get the sum of… to calculate.  DBCalc does work  but I need the sum to use in other calculations.    vTot_Report_HRs = sum of report_hrs  (numeric) (D)   The var is predefined. The data that I am summing is in the detail band.   When I run the report there is nothing in the var (vTot_Report_HRs)   Any ideas what I am doing wrong?  I use sum of… in many reports and have not had this problem.   John
