The few times I've gotten mixed up with saltwater, the chain was showing corrosion within 24 hours. Bay water is more brackish than pure salt, but I'd probably pull the bb and take a look. If something got in, you'll probably see a little corrosion. It's also possible to have a little light corrosion inside the frame just from the bay air and over-the-bridge humidity. You might spray something in through the venting holes at the rear dropouts. That would be the other spot of water access. If you weren't fendered, I'd probably drop the fork and clean the steerer tube, race, inside the headtube and headset.
