Joel, Sounds like you were well prepared for your weather. I only got in about 30-35 miles yesterday. The "winter beater" does not have a computer. Jim of Hiawatha lead a group ride that left the shop at noon. By all accounts there were 14 folks on the ride.
Weather for our ride was favorable. Mid 20's. No precipitation. Most side roads (and trails) snow/ice covered. But the main roads were nice. Unfortunately (or not) no Rivendell bikes were on the ride. I was wearing a Riv long sleeve jersey MUSA, pants (over longjohns) and the Wooly Warm beanie. Lastly, I've had good luck in temps down to the low 20's with Craft lobster gloves. The ones with the secondary liner. Colder than that, I'm using a custom set of lobster gloves. Have decided to favor warmth over dexterity. It also helps that my bikes all have "upright" bars. More forgiving of clumsy hands.
