Oh, I think you could knock a pound off without too much difficulty but the question would remain whether it would be of significant benefit. For a 64 cm bike with a triple and wide-range cassette, that's pretty light IMHO. Replacing the 500+ gram saddle with one that weighs half as much would get you halfway there in one step. I have recently discovered the WTB Pure V Pro which (so far on rides up to 45 miles) is more comfortable than any of my leather saddles have been, except for one Brooks Pro (which I have had since about 1977). It weighs about 1/2 of what a Brooks Pro weighs with the added benefit of not having to worry about it getting wet and ruined. I am becoming an apostate! Good grief, what's next? 23 mm tires? I could readily get my 60 cm 1996 All-Rounder under 25 lbs and probably under 23, but the fenders, generator lighting, front rack and handlebar bag would have to come off! And I might have to switch the saddle (that bike has the old Pro on it, which is the most comfortable saddle I have ever ridden). --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
