Hi Zack, I was having problems which chain skipping and ghost shifting, which were solved when I switched from 9 to 8 speed. However, I think the spacing on a 7 speed cassette is the same as on an 8 speed (someone correct me if I'm confused). If that's true I don't know if changing between the two will help with shifting at all...?
