I was thinking of doing this also because the rear wheel on my Riv has
developed a bit of a wobble. So throw on the rear wheel from the Soma
until I get a chance to true up the Riv wheel. Both casettes are less than
three months old and both chains probably have less than 750 miles on
them. Both using Shimano MTB hubs. I think it will work fine. I'll test
my theory after work if I don't chicken out due to the heat. (Forecast
high according to the Google Now app on my Android is 106F).
