I have done this many times, but my Bleriot is a 51cm...

The only tools I need to dismantle it to fit in the case are:
Topeak Rachet Rocket (best little hex set EVER)
Park MLP-1
a couple of 8/10 open end (crescent) wrenches for the cable splitters, racks
and headlight. The Sears Craftsman are the lightest ones I have found.
8mm full sized Allen wrench for the self extracting crank bolts - I do have to
pull the crank to get it nicely in the case. YMMV
the S&S/pedal wrench. Make sure the pedal wrench side works - I had to have my
husband do some judicious filing, because it was a teeny bit too small.

(for some reason, I don't have to pull the crank on the Sweetpea. Different
geometry. Weird.)

For the Bleriot, after I open all the cable splitters, and remove the
handlebars/stem as a unit, I can completely detach that from the frame. It
takes a fair amount of judicious wiggling to get the handlebars in there, fold
the stem under, and arrange the bar end shifter levers so they are flat.

At least the first time, you will want to do this a few days before departure.
As you use each tool, put it in a pile that will travel with you. (short story
about losing one of the 8/10mm wrenches in Ireland, B&B did not have any sort
of tool which would work, short trip into Ballybunion proper to the only store
which might have something, wandering past stuff which had clearly been there
for decades, finding a Vise-Grip... Whew!)

Take pictures. Label them. Put a copy in the bike case. Write your name and
cell phone number on the inside of the case lid. Print out your itinerary and
put it in the case as well.

Get the net and spacers. If you can't get the case to close with just the
spacer ends touching, cut another piece of PVC a little bit longer :-)

I also have a small tube of grease and a rag in the case.
