I took it to the bike shop on Saturday, and a loose headset wasn't the problem. I'd hate to have the kickstand cut and find out that wasn't the solution either. I'm not putting a hugely heavy load in the front: just a messenger bag with a MacBook air in it.
I guess I could learn to live with it, since it doesn't affect how the bike handles at all. It just annoys me.
