Thanks for posting that; just in time for wet weather here in CA.  I've 
been in the situation of repeatedly wearing then removing a rain jacket as 
showers move thru.  Storing the soggy jacket outside the bag keeps the 
other contents dry and makes it quickly accessible when the rain starts.  
Custom shock cord & hooks could have a lot of other uses as well.
