They work for my old, light Carnac touring shoes with flexible plastic
soles, and no cleats, just ridges that work with my favorite Lyotard Marcel
Berthet plaform pedals, and make an easy do it yourself project.

They don't last forever, and may help some shoes last longer.

It is all in the details. I go back and forth over the style aspect of it.
Sometimes I even use valve caps and a helmet mirror!
