I test rode a Sam at the Hatchet shop last year, great experience, extremely neutral ride. If I was blindfolded (and somehow managed to stay upright) I'd be unable to tell the difference from a Homer/Saluki similarly equipped.
On the weight limits... I'm also 250 lbs and did a 3 day GAP trip with an additional 20ish lbs, maybe a bit more depending on water with no problems whatsoever. Who know's over a long period of time or even rougher terrain but I have never felt like the Saluki (Homer) was underbuilt for my size. Cushy tires, and riding 'smart' to avoid or cushion big blow's obviously also helps. Tony -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
