I know nothing about mettalurgy. Is there a reason to suppose it wouldn't accept a weld? Aluminum bike frames are welded aren't they?
I also know next to nothing about making bicycle frames, but I would hazard a guess that even if it wouldn't accept a weld that a lugged or brazed frame would still be an option.
