They are not too bad, it all depends on the type of snow.  They did turn 
out to be a little tall for the Sam's clearance so I had to remove my 
fenders until I can afford to buy a shorter studded equivalent.  Currently 
the crown keeps the snow off the lugs!  :)  That all being said the do ride 
really well through the mess!
