I called it a custom because the original owner told me that back in '96, 
he called Grant and gave him his measurements and the bike was made for 
him. He said that back then it cost him $1700! So it may not be a custom or 
it may not, just don't know. The original owner is 80+ years old and had to 
give up cycling because of a leg injury. He used this bike to bike all over 
Europe following many of the tours and called out mountain passes that I'd 
never even heard of and I've lived in France for years. It was a sad moment 
to take the bike away from him at least for me, he seemed like he didn't 
care but with all those memories tied into this bike, I didn't believe him. 
I think he's in a lot of paint with his leg.
