People always seem to need a uniform to wear for some reason. Tweed
could be nice, I guess. Me, I'm still stuck in the hippie 60's and pre-
disco 70's. I was already a cyclist then, and I just wore whatever I
had that seemed comfortable. I still do to this day. Of course, my
kids think I look like an idiot, because the younger generations are
much more consumerized than I ever was. They have to have the right
clothes, the right brands, etc.

I ride a lot, almost strictly as a road bike rider, and I only have
two items of genuine cycling clothing... a pair of shorts my wife
bought for me at a Salvation Army thrift store, and a cycling
windbreaker that came later from the same store. Sometimes, I wear
them.

I think that some of the stuff Rivendell sells would be great though.

But please, don't bother looking for this idiot at either tweed rides
or roadie group rides.
