Hi all,

Just finished with a cockpit switch from drops to bosco bars on the daily
driver Bombadil:

I also switched back from v-brakes to Shimano CX70 cantis, with the tektro
fork-mounted cable hanger that we discussed here a week or two ago:

(The dent, I mean 'dimple' in the fender was my attempt to prevent the
housing stop on the v-brake from scraping against the fender).

Anyway, this has moved the mini rack forward and down a bit (as expected),
but now the tab on the rack makes fender clearance a little close for
comfort:

Sorry about the shoddy photo but the Director of Bike Documentation is not
available to take photos today so I had to do them myself. You can't really
tell how close it is from that shot but when I lean on the handlebars (I
guess causing the fork to flex) the fender sometimes brushes the tyre. I
could dremel off the front of the fender behind the rack tab but I don't
have the skills to do a pretty job of it. I'm thinking, since I'm in France
and they're easy to get, the simplest thing would be just to switch to the
short version of the Berthoud fenders, but I haven't been able to google up
any images of them in combination with a mini rack or Mark's rack etc. Has
anyone tried it? Did you find the coverage adequate for stuff in the
basket/bags on the rack? Any pictures would be appreciated too of course,
as would other suggestions or comments!

Thanks,

Tom
