It hit 60 today in Alexandria VA even if briefly. I got a nice walk in the
snowy woods out in Winchester this morning after aborting an ill-conceived
idea that I could ride on my rockhopper through the snow. The crunchy snow
was just deep enough to make it impossible at least for me.. On the way
home I got a bit of redemption when I stopped by the VA Arboretum out on Rt
50 as you leave Winchester, they have a nice loop road that is gravel.
Couldn't have been much more than a mile and a half but I took the
opportunity to get the rockhopper some work, my first real ride w/ the
Bullmoose cockpit. I like the setup but I can tell I haven't logged any
miles this year. The Smart Sam's from Ant did great too, I only crashed
once due to ice and that was right at the start before I was paying close
enough attention.
One shot to give you an idea;
