Also realize that if the rider is tall enough to need a bike larger than 61 cm, the Atlantis is unfortunately no longer an option. Then it's a clearer choice: AHH if you don't want the tire capacity and load capacity, but would rather have something closer to a true road bike, Bombadil otherwise.

If the rider's size is 61 cm, I say go with the Atlantis. I have one. They're amazing.

I agree that this discussion depends a bit on your size and needs. If you are someone who weighs over 200 lbs then the AHH may not be the best option unless you do not intend to carry much on the bike.

That said, the AHH is a very versatile bike with great road manners. Fendered with the Jack Brown tires, it is a great road bike. Take off the Jack Browns and put on some cyclocross tires and it handles off-road really well. I have used mine shod with 34C cyclocross tires on mixed terrain rides and have found it to handle everything with aplomb.

I don't have experience with the Bombadil or Atlantis, but I know that both bike will handle racks and gear much better than the AHH would.

Best of luck,

Joe
