I have the screen brightness set to max, and in the sun can't see a blessed thing. Same is true for my camera, only there I was able to get an add-on viewfinder that makes taking pictures in the bright sun possible.



I have some other beefs with iPhones/smartphones/creeping technology, but that's not one of them ;-)

I'm glad you're happy, but I am hardly the only person having trouble seeing LCDs outdoors in the sun. And when you compare old-style manual controls (eg., number buttons, aperture rings and shutter speed dials) with touchscreen images there's no doubt in my mind which are the easiest to use.
