A $1000 bike made in the US is not expected to have all of its steel and parts created here, too. The point is that the stuff is delivered here, then American citizens in an American city weld it up and put the pieces on. The author may be right about the non-bike stuff, but he's in the wilderness about Shinola bicycles.
