Tim, I used to be all concerned with such things as that .  When my Sugino 
AT BB needed replacing years ago it also had the heavy offset , and was 
124mm .  I bought a UN-72 127mm as it was about my only choice at the 
time.  It was perfect, as is . No spacers needed at all .  I didn't bother 
to measure it as it felt fine and the chainline was fine.  That's the key 
... it WAS fine !   If I was all in tuss about numbers I may have found 
some differences ,but so what ? It worked in real life.  You must remember 
manufacturer specs are given as a reference(mostly for themselves), not an 
absolute as to usability. As a mechanic or customer , there is the real 
world application of things that work regardless of whether specs say it 
may or not.   You having access to parts at a shop is huge plus !
