A sad (and perhaps grateful) day for cyclists. I didn't learn of Jobst's passing until today. And ironically just last evening I built up a beautiful set of wheels for a good friend in record time (with seemingly minimal effort). I thought to myself, wow... I had a good teacher (in Sheldon Brown and most of all, Jobst Brandt) who have inspired so many fools like me to dare to become halfway proficient at wheel-building. Today I raise my coffee cup (and red Spokey) to Jobst Brandt and Sheldon Brown.
