While waiting for Clem, and still trying to convince myself that the large 
59cm frame would indeed be large enough, I decided to do an experiment: get 
a 80s MTB, largest I could find (57cm center-top seattube in this case) and 
push it to the height limits and try and make it work for me. I figured if 
a 57cm, non-sloping top tube frame could work for me, then I'd be convinced 
I'd be happy with a 59cm Clem. Top it off by trying to make it a drop bar 
conversion as well.
After gathering parts, some from this list (thanks!) I put together a 
Schwinn Impact as a single speed - easiest way to build up a bike and 
pretty much all I need for the terrain here.
Side note: the late 80s Schwinn graphics were far too subdued for the late 
80s, so naturally it needed hot pink shellacked Newbaum's tape.
