Last summer I did it on my Riv custom to make room for 34 mm tires with fenders. Unforunately the bike is now at my mothers so no photo, but it was a success (as long as you can accept the brakes exposed from under). I simply cut the fenders - Bluemels aluminium - and used Velo Orange rack struts placed uppside down, passing over the brakes with the fenders hanging in M6 bolts with nuts as distance bits between strut and fender. That was the rear wheel. In the front I had the rear part sitting above the strut and the front part hanging from my front rack, also with bolts and distance nuts.
Olof Stroh Uppsala sweden -----Original Message----- Awhile back on the Blug there was an entry of a black Homer (I think) with a 2 piece front fender to get added clearance. Anyone done this? Tips, steps, extra hardware I'll need? I'll be using SKS P45 fenders. I have an extra front that I was thinking I could use to get longer coverage under a rack. I need to do front and back I think. I could probably get away with fitting the fenders mounted normally, but I'd like to opt for proper clearances.
