i've never done an official century ride, but i have done about 90 miles in
a day a few times. i also have never used bosco bars, but i do use
albatross bars. for me and my limited experience, i have found that most
potential problems show themselves somewhere in the 35-50mile range.
mustache bars start hurting my back/wrists and cause dead hands at about
35miles, but i love them for those first 35. i can get much further, more
comfortably, on alba's, and even though i feel slightly less zippy, they
stay on the touring bike, because not hurting>hurting. i would think that
if you're going 50 miles in complete comfort, why mess with it....but
again, thats just me.
