"Splits" sounds like Grant found a way around the problem of shipping longbikes. Some time after the original Mystery Bikes were sold, he said on the Blug that a production version was off the table because they were too long for a standard bike box. Solution: Breakaway Longbike!
I read somewhere that GP was involved in this project (can't find it now)..the saddle and cranks certainly reveal his influence.
