I have bought Army surplus wool blankets on eBay...perhaps not Pendleton or Hudson Bay quality, but hey, from sheep's wool, nevertheless.
In fact the Boreal Shirt made by Lester River Bushcraft / Empire Canvas is made from (new) Army blankets, and I think the wool is of exceptional quality.
