I'm on my third Luxos U in a year and a half and at PBP this one started having issues too, I just haven't ridden at night enough since to confirm that it's bad. The upside is that they have been replaced by Peter White immediately and with no hassle. Also, when they work, I love them. Charging my phone is a must on brevets. I wouldn't want to (and won't) do without that option. Also the light has a wonderful beam. That being said, I don't think I'll get a Luxos for the new rando bike I'm getting. I'm leaning toward the Edelux and a separate USB charger (if that's possible.)
